Sibling Love

I had such a good time with these little people:)Let me just say that good parenting makes a photographer’s job so much easier! We did this shoot a few days after Christmas and I honestly wasn’t quite sure how well the wintery season would photograph, but as soon as I realized that my little clients were actually super cooperative with me and each other (not to mention super adorable), I knew we were in for a good shoot. These were my “oldest” clients thus far so I was a bit unsure of how to carry myself or how to get their relaxed smiles and laughs (I’m pretty good at getting a laugh out of a 2 year old, but I doubt a 10 year old would appreciate my methods haha!). Anyways, shortly after the shoot began, I realized I should just have conversations with each of them and find out what interests them and what they love and in no time they were the ones guiding the direction of the shoot, whether it be swinging off a tree or or climbing a humongous rock:). I even included a little video of the youngest boy reenacting a scene from Lord of the Rings! He got a Lord of the Rings ring for Christmas so he really, really, really wanted me to film him acting as Gollum. And I gotta say, it was quite the unexpected entertainment!

Well enough said, enjoy the pictures and leave some comment love before you go:)

Love this photo! They’re such little models!

After of our shoot, while their dad was getting the car, the kids and I had some yummy hot cocoa and the little girl got some whip cream on her nose so I just had to whip out my camera and take one last shot:)

Newborn Session: Baby Benjamin

Meet Benjamin! I was his mommy’s maid of honor what seems like oh so-not-that-long ago:)But boy does time fly! My friend Eva is now consumed by mommy world and what a joy it is to witness another new stage in her life and to capture this handsome little guy.

We actually did this shoot a couple months back, but since the holidays have been upon us, I didn’t get a chance to blog the images before. For this shoot, we didn’t have too much to work with except really nice window lighting and a small couch, but thankfully since it’s a newborn session, simplicity is key:)

Enjoy!

Giana: 8 Months + Absolutely Gorgeous!

This has got to be my favorite “Gigi” photo session. Of course every session is absolutely special in its own way, but something about this one just makes my heart happy:)Gigi has taken on so many different facial expressions and emotions, it’s quite magical to witness. For her 8 month photo session, we really wanted to capture the crawling, crib time, baby food moments, story book times, and simple outings as a family. Gigi must have been in a spectacular mood that day, because I couldn’t take my camera off for a second! Even as she laid on the bed in between our outfit changes, she was just being so adorable, swiftly crawling to the window to do what she does best: observe:)And of course, lighting, lighting, lighting. We were blessed with the most amazing lighting that day which made this natural light photo session so perfect.

She always gets smothered with kisses and every time she makes that adorable “stop kissing me already!” face. Especially when it’s dad attacking her with kisses:)

Dad, again, making fun of Gigi (a typical scene!)

I love this picture because those furrowed brows are such a signature Gigi look! It’s actually her grandpa’s signature expression so it has been passed down quite adorably:)

All the way to the very end, Gigi kept showing off all her adorable faces:)

Yana - What a cutie! Her eyes are captivating. I love how your post transitions from bright-eyes to heavy lids… It tells a nice story.
