Poll #1: What’s the Theme Song of Your Childhood?

So recently I heard a tune that totally took me back to my childhood. So I’ve decided to create this wonderful little poll for all you!

Basically, you have 5 options from which to select the song that resonates with you most as far as your childhood nostalgia goes:)

Here is a Playlist to hear through the TOP 5 choices

MusicPlaylistRingtones

And here you select your top choice!

[poll id="2"]

I would love your participation in this!!!

Which TV Family Did You Grow Up With?! » Yana K Photo Blog :: Seattle Family & Kids Photographer - [...] so if some of you remember, I took a poll about a month ago on “What’s the theme song of your childhood?” The results were the [...]

Stacey - You are 100% forgiven for knocking dear Arthur off the list. :) And Doug and Full House would have been others to vote for. I loved Full House so much that we bought three whole seasons on DVD. That would have been my #2 vote!

Yana K - HAHAHHA Stacey! I DID have him on there, but then I wanted to shorten to 5 and he didn’t make the cut:) (and partly because I couldn’t decide whether the intro song or the ending song was more nostalgic).

The other thing on the list was Doug. Doug & Full House.

Stacey - Yana! You’re totally missing Arthur on here!!

Yana K - Oksana, thank you for the kind words!!

I miss my childhood too!! That’s why I’m in this business! and b/c I love photography:)The nostalgia will never end…(that is why I have created a whole category on my blog for childhood reminiscence:)

Oksana - And Your photos…. incredible!
You do what so many others do… Just way better! and thats what makes you stand out! Good job!! : )

Oksana - Wow this is so perfect! I was thinking about what options you could possibly give, but all of these songs remind me of my childhood!!
: ) especially the magic schoolbus… man awe i miss childhood! :)

Everett Newborn Photography | Baby & Bro

These are images I recently took of a sweet 3 week-old baby, Stephen, and his older brother Justin. Stephen made my job super easy by being the calmest newborn I’ve ever worked with (thank you!). Justin made my job all the more fun by throwing out the clowniest expressions while his baby brother was being taken care of – I couldn’t help but snap some shots:). Oh and a super big thank you to Eleanor Petry, who was such a wonderful + helpful assistant with this shoot! (Check out her work here!)

Enjoy!

(PS. Can’t we all relate with image #14?! – I still freak out when I’m given such a tiny person to hold:)

daniel usenko - awesome stuff. Love the moments

Lena B - Yana AMAZING job!!!! Very proud of you! :) Pictures are very precious and perfect!

mikhail - love these photos!

Everett Kids Photography | Little Gabriel

I am SO excited to finally start this long-awaited photography blog!!!

Welcome to the Yana K Photo Blog! Have a look-see and let me know what you think!

I decided to start my 1st post with images I took of this adorable little boy Gabriel:) Gabriel is a nephew of my in-laws; he is very much opinionated and a full-of-attitude little guy. The crazy thing is that whenever I see him at family gatherings, he will just run up to me and give me his best little grin:) We’re all trying to figure out why he’s decided to play favorites with me (since it’s very much unlike him to act like this), but I honestly don’t mind the special attention because he is just too darn cute!! I thought this shoot would be a piece of cake since we get along so well, but apparently he doesn’t like my camera as much as he likes me:) If you notice at the end of the shoot, I took a picture of Gabriel with gum balls and M&M’s – these are what got us through the shoot! I have learned that little Gabriel is quite the barterer! For every 10 seconds of his attention, he would confidently request an M&M or gumball! As far as the theme goes, I had the idea of doing an “explorer” type shoot since he loves to run around and explore, but the shoot turned into something of it’s own – which is cool with me! There is no way I would have thought up of all these images on my own:) Anyways, enough talking, enjoy the pictures!!

(PS. We have no idea where Gabriel got the stiches-looking scratch on his neck – I was contemplating to photoshop it out, but then I decided that it’s just too much a part of his mischievous + tough little guy personality:)

Yana K - Igor- true, true. Finally decided to go ahead and put the stamp on my pictures:) (going to go over all my old posts). That way people can right click and save if they wish and google can find it, and my work is still signed by it’s artist. Thanks for your insight:)

Igor - There really is no way to protect anything on the web, unless you stamp a huge watermark across every image. Although, that would be very distracting. So anything can get stolen, no matter if you like it or not. Even if you use a flash gallery, people can trace the path where the files are coming from. That’s one of the disadvantages of technology. Reverse engineering :)

Tarah - SO CUTE!!! These are adorable. I want to get in another shoot with Brock and Ally.

irinka - Yana!the pictures that you captured — are awesome! and the most important thing is that you are able to capture the emotion, which I’m guessing can’t be easy with kids. Way to go, wish you all the best!

Anne - Wow Yana, You did such a wonderful job! You can take pictures of Gabriel any day! :)

Oleg - Yana!

These are super cool. Cute Kid!

Good Job!

Oleg

Alesya - Wow, I am simply stunned at your creativity. These are simple, but yet so beautiful in their simplicity. The crispness and quality is simply breathtaking. You captured the very essence of the child. Good job! Please keep posting more stuff for all of us admirers to see.

Juliya - Nice Yana! Very beautiful pictures! Great start!!

Julia - Wow! Yana, these are great! Very nice job :)

Julia - Precious photos. Love the tube of paper..

Congrats on the new blog! Excited to follow.

Stacey - REALLY cute goodies here, Yana!

Alex Voznyuk - Hey, awesome pics! Love the quality! Keep the pics coming… :)

Yana - Thanks for the advice:) Yeah, I was thinking about it… I don’t have a logo in mind yet and I’m hesitant to stamp on a “Yana K Photography” on every single photo, because it sometimes can take away from the overall look of the images… I looked at your logo and it’s very nice – small & sweet, doesn’t take away from the image – but that usually means it can be easily photoshopped out if you know what I mean:) So I figure, if they want to “borrow” they will either way:)

Paul | Aperina Studios - Yana, nice job… Good lens… You working it girl…

I would recommend somehow copyrighting your photos with a logo or something… but it’s up to you… in case someone wishes to “borrow” your photos… :) lol

Yana - Thank you everyone!! Good feedback is always good:) But if you see anything that’s a bit off, please comment or message me! :)
